About Skin Deep Laser MD in Forth Worth, TX

What Beauty Really is . . .

The skincare commercials get it wrong.

They parade 20 year-old models with invisible pores and perfect skin on-screen and imply that if you don’t look like you just woke up in a field of dewy flowers, then you should speed to the store and buy every product on the cosmetic shelf until you do.

When I first became a doctor - an anesthesiologist, I never dreamed I’d end up in aesthetics.

But job titles are only part of who we are.

I’m a fair-skinned redhead, born and raised in Texas.  I love the people and the warm climate but the Texas sun was taking its toll on my skin.

One morning, sometime after my 40th birthday, I woke up and barely recognized myself in the mirror.  I wondered, “when did I start looking old?”

The sunspots (I like to call them freckles), wrinkles, and texture changes I earned from life: laughing, working, and raising two boys, made me want to take pictures of my family…without me in them.

I knew that aesthetic treatments were getting more effective and that there were ways of treating my brown spots and improving my skin, so I started visiting med spas.

Over the next few years I spent a lot of money at many different places but saw little or no improvement. Luckily I was never burned or injured, but I was frustrated with the amount of money wasted and the lack of results.

As a doctor, I set out to do my own research. I already knew that most of the products on the shelf were snake oil, but I learned that many of the more “advanced” aesthetic treatments were also over-priced and over-marketed empty promises. In addition, I discovered too many horror stories of injuries from spas that had no business calling themselves “medical.”

I found amazing, affordable treatments that cleared up my freckles and sun-damage, ones that smoothed and rejuvenated my skin, and all of them were affordable for my friends, neighbors, and loved ones.

Most importantly, I found that I looked and felt like myself again.

After all, isn’t that what true beauty is?

Most of the women I know aren’t trying to look fake, plumped, and stretched.

They’re just trying to recognize the person they see in the mirror and feel good about themselves.

Beauty is feeling good about yourself, whether you decide to wear makeup or not.

That’s why Skin Deep Laser MD exists.

“Over 10 years ago I dedicated myself to researching aesthetic medicine and anti-aging science to find the safest, most comfortable, most effective and best value options for skin and bring them all to Fort Worth. I started a new aesthetic laser practice (Skin Deep Laser MD) where I could safely offer the medical, more effective aspects of "med-spas" in a safe environment. I hope to start changing the industry to keep patients safe while we all benefit from advancing technology.”
