How Does PicoSure® Work?

With smaller pulses, the rate at which ink can be shattered in the deeper layers of skin is increased. This means it may take fewer treatments to eliminate the tattoo.
The number of treatments you need to be completely satisfied will depend on the size of your tattoo, the colors of ink, and how deep it goes into your dermis. If you just want to fade your tattoo in order to put a different one in the same place, it will take a fewer number of treatments. You may need to wait four to six weeks between treatments to allow the skin to heal. After a few months, you may no longer have a tattoo.

Yellow, red, and orange have traditionally been the most difficult colors to remove, but PicoSure® has upgraded to combine the 523nm system and the 755nm laser to remove colors throughout the spectrum for all skin types.
